On the shoulders of giants

A couple of months ago on a weekend when a friend and I decided we'd had enough of the same old surroundings with nothing to do, we took an 8 hour drive to the lake district for a photography session.

In the end not much photography happened because we found ourselves at the base of Scafell Pike, which aparently is the highest mountain in England, and we decided what the heck, let's climb it.
So we did, and this is one of the only shots I got because I was too exhausted to think about taking photos.

In the end we climbed a little over 4000 feet because we went up Scafell first, then onto Scafell Pike.
Unfortunately, although we were SO close, we never made the summit because time was against us and it was getting darker and darker by the second, but at least I got to spend an hour walking in the clouds.
